Kinesio Taping® Method

The Kinesio Taping® Method is a therapeutic taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It also prolongs the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting by providing extended soft tissue manipulation.

The Kinesio Taping® Association International (KTAI) has designed a certification process for Kinesio Taping® Practitioners. To become certified, practitioners must complete KTAI approved KT1, KT2 and KT3 level courses, be current KTAI members, and pass the Certification Exam with a minimum 80% grade. Health care providers who become trained in Kinesio Taping, typically include: massage and shiatsu therapists, and physical and occupational therapists.
